08 Hours, hotel pick-up includedAfter breakfast at your hotel, your English-speaking tour guide and driver will greet you in the hotel lobby and begin the journey to Phnom Kulen National Park, located north of the Angkor Archaeological Park. This sacred mountain is historically significant as the quarry site for the sandstone used in constructing the temples of Angkor. It is also considered the birthplace of the Khmer Empire, where King Jayavarman II declared independence and established the royal lineage in the 9th century. The scenic drive takes you up to the top of the mountain, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding lush national park landscape and explore Highlights at Phnom Kulen at Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff) a breathtaking viewpoint offering stunning views across the countryside. It's a peaceful place to take in the natural beauty and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
The Reclining Buddha, visit the largest reclining Buddha in Cambodia, carved directly into a massive natural sandstone boulder atop the mountain, located within an active Buddhist monastery.
River of 1000 Lingas, a sacred riverbed with ancient carvings of lingas and deities etched into the stone beneath the flowing water. This site holds deep spiritual significance and symbolizes the sanctity of water in Khmer culture.
Phnom Kulen Waterfall, visit the largest and most beautiful waterfall in the area, believed to be a holy and healing place. You’ll have the chance to swim, relax, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this natural wonder, popular with both locals and travelers and have lunch at locat restaurant before returning to Siem Reap, stop by a local village to experience traditional Khmer life. See wooden stilt houses, and learn how villagers produce palm sugar—a staple product of the region and then return to Siem Reap City in the late afternoon, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
