Business registration in Cambodia

Business registration in Cambodia

Company registration at the Ministry of Commerce, tax registration at the GDT

Registering a company in Cambodia means dealing with two ministries, in the right order, with documents in Khmer. We do that work for foreign and Cambodian owners — the filing, the translations, the stamps and the follow-up — so that what you get back is a registered company with its tax affairs already in order.

At the Ministry of Commerce

Registering a new company
Registering a subsidiary company
Registering a representative office
Registering a foreign branch

At the General Department of Taxation

VAT certificate and patent tax registration — the registration every trading company needs before it can invoice.
Additional patent certificates, where you trade in more than one activity or location.
Amending a company profile — a change of address, directors, shareholding or activity.
Business closure or postponement — closing properly, or suspending activity without penalties accruing.

And for the people in it

A registered company is usually only half of what a foreign owner needs. The other half is the right to be here and the right to work, which is why we handle work permits for foreign staff and the visa extensions that go with them as part of the same job.

What it costs

Government fees change, and what you pay depends on your nationality, the class of permit and how quickly you need it. We quote per case, in writing, with the government fee and our service fee shown separately — so you can see exactly what is ours and what is the state's. Ask and we will come back to you, normally within one working day. Registration also carries government fees that vary with your company type and capital, and those are passed on at cost.

Ask about registering a company

Tell us what the business does, who owns it and whether any owner is foreign. We will set out the steps, the order and what each one takes.
